AMD has released the code for 3D acceleration of the R600 and R700 chips.

 What AMD has released today is a DRM (Direct Rendering Manager) functional, which has nothing to do with DRM-Digital Rights Management, working with EXA acceleration and an initial implementation in addition to the X-Video r600_demo program.

There are approximately 180 pages of specifications and sets of records 3D. By the time AMD has not yet provided the content, but it made public in a month.

DRM is the functional branch launched in test Git repositories DRM under the name of xf86-video-radeonhd. Far not come up in the usual repositories have not been thoroughly tested and get more stability.
