Solar cells made from an oven

An Australian scientist has developed a new way to manufacture solar cells using only cleaner nail polish, a pizza oven and an inkjet printer.

The technique, called iJET, is so cheap that could revolutionize the way that countries have access to this type of technology.

Nicole Kuepper, a student at the University of Wales for 23 years, explained through an interview process of creation.

First you grab a plate of silicon solar cells, is sprinkled with the cleansing of nail polish and then printed with the nail remover through the printer. It was finally doused with a spray of aluminum and put in the oven to 550 degrees Fahrenheit.

Soladores cells are produced using existing technology, high-performance and expensive cleaning equipment.

They hope that solar cells can be manufactured in a developing country such as Ghana or Laos.
