ATI HD 4000 in laptops

AMD has introduced the HD 4000 chips for laptops, with an increase of graphic power, and models of graphics cards with dual GPU Mobility Radeon X2.

Code name for ATI M98-L and ATI M96, the GPU to the portable HD 4000 series have achieved the certification of the PCI-SIG, the body that validates implementations of the PCIe bus.

The new Mobility Radeon HD models, including the 4650 series, 4670, 4850 and 4870 and at least one card with dual graphics chip, the Radeon HD 4850 X2.

It is not known whether this year will come to market, but it is important for ATI to compete with NVIDIA in high-performance notebooks, a small but very lucrative market.
