Avoid scareware

The scareware warnings are in the form of pop-up that appear in our meetings navigation and warn us of dangers to the computer (viruses, software bugs, etc.), which announced solutions that are misleading web users. How can you avoid?

There are solutions like AdBlock extension for Firefox, but the thing is getting so dangerous that Microsoft and Washington state are suing the companies responsible for this type of advertising, which many users take for real threats when they really are not.

The scareware is a form of advertising that uses pop-up windows and warn of all sorts of errors that our team is suffering, and we can fix by visiting certain Web and pay some money. All this is nothing but a sham and an abuse of the rights of consumers, but Microsoft and a prosecutor from Washington state are trying to stop these messages.
