If small is excited to have a house on a tree, then you’re not alone, scientists say that using techniques aeroponía will “grow houses”, houses made of plant tissue to grow shaping rooms and units needed.

“Human beings will one day return to the forests to live in houses whose ecological structure has” grown “from the roots of a tree.”

Sounds like science fiction but it comes from a group of scientists from the U.S. and Israel. They believe that this ingenious mixture of forests and cities could be a way to save the planet.

The technique is the aeroponía, grow without soil. The only difference is that instead of using water as a carrier for the plants, use the air. Some plants, like orchids that grow on trees in tropical forests, using this form of cultivation in a natural way.

Aeroponía of using advanced techniques, the researchers believe can build houses that grow from a seed. The first prototype could be ready in ten years.

Plantware is the company closer to achieving something like a home using these methods constructive. In fact, they say they have succeeded in building bus shelters, benches in parks and traffic lights, using their cultivation techniques.

Each house is constructed from the roots of a tree, and different specifications can be introduced into the design. Models that engineers Plantaware have in mind will be equipped with a series of ecological characteristics, such as solar and wind power generators.

The houses, on whose design collaborating researchers from Tel Aviv University and MIT, derive their energy from clean sources of energy and are even able to convert human waste into valuable nutrients for the trees. The project to succeed, much of the pollution and excess CO2 could be reduced significantly.

You know, soon to live like the Hobbits.
