The plants are auto medical aspirin
Researchers have discovered that some plants are capable of launching into the air like a gas to aspirin if they are threatened by drought or insect pests.
Scientists at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Colorado (USA) concluded that in the same manner as the human medical are acetyl salicylic acid, the scientific name for aspirin, to lower the fever, the plant launched into the air a chemical similar to that pain to improve their defenses and recover from any injury.
“Significant amounts of chemicals can be detected in the atmosphere when the plants respond to drought or other hazards.
“Unlike humans, who take aspirin to eliminate fever, plants have the capacity to produce chemicals like to aspirin, with mechanisms for the formation of proteins that increase their biochemical defenses and reduce injuries,” said the head the team of investigators, Thomas Karl.
“Our measurements show that significant quantities of chemical can be detected in the atmosphere while the plants respond to drought, extreme temperatures or other irritants,” he added.
Aspirin was discovered in the bark of a tree.
Scientists knew that was a substance that can be produced by plants, but had never seen in the air.
Scientists acknowledged that detected the acetyl salicylic acid accidentally while making a follow-up to a nogueral in California.
