Disk solid state from 4096 GB IBM

IBM said it is conducting tests on a hard drive solid-state of 4 Terabytes of capacity. These are discs SSD, based on memories of the “flash”, high speed and headed in principle to big business.

For years, flash memory cards have limited storage for digital cameras, music players and mobile phones. But SSD hard drives, also based on such reports, are already reaching the critical mass necessary technological, in terms of storage capacity, speed and price, to become the mass storage device in netbooks, notebooks and desktop computers, and IBM does not want to stay out of the market.

The record of 4 TB IBM has a speed that exceeds a 250 per cent to hard drives and a lower energy consumption.
