The Internet market in commercial flights is already a reality.

Aircell, U.S. leading communications provider has announced that it will develop 4G technology.

Aircell provides in-flight Internet service companies such as American Airlines and Virgin americas allowing Wi-Fi networks on planes.

But the breakthrough will come in 2011 when the company launched the fourth generation mobile telephony, allowing mobile interactive services such as HDTV or support for online games such as video game massively multiplayer online role-Blizzard.

The 4G technology will enable maximum performance to Wi-Fi networks or WiMAX, with speeds of 300 Mbps. This great width banda will be used by the crew to enhance safety in flight taking real-time access to weather information.
