PS3 than 65 nm

Sony has cut costs with the PS3 console by removing features such as retro compatibility, reducing the hard drive, USB ports and less.

Sony now aims to reduce the chip design technology RSX of 90 nm to 65 nm today.

Involve a substantial reduction of heat generated, and more efficient consumption of energy.

Toshiba, RSX graphics chip manufacturer of the console is preparing to manufacture 45 nm and IBM is doing with its equivalent Cell chip, so soon we will have a PlayStation 3 with both chips manufactured in 45 nm conllevando greater energy savings, economic and heat.
