China to investigate Microsoft

The anti-monopoly authorities of China investigated Microsoft and other multinationals to find out why a copy of the Windows operating system could cost more expensive than the PC itself.

The State Intellectual Property Office China along with other public institutions is investigating several multinationals to sell operating systems and software at prices higher in China than in the United States.

China adopted an anti-trust law in which foreign companies wishing to participate in Chinese companies will have to pass a rigorous control which aims to protect the economy of this country for Europe and the United States.
